Dale Eugene Thompson

Dale Eugene Thompson, 56, of Georgetown, passed away at 3:21am, Monday, February 19, 2018, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville. He was born on February 27, 1961, the son of Raymond and Shirley {Larsen} Thompson. He was married to Yolanda Treadway on March 23, 2010. She survives. He is also survived by: his parents, Shirley & Raymond Thompson; his son, Dustin Thompson; his daughters, Darla Dominguez, Dayna Bialecki, Jennifer Thompson, Stephanie Biava, Alysha Trammell, & Daniel Carlock; his brother, Brian Thompson; his sisters, Rayna Stevenson & Janet Sprouls; and his ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law. Dale attended & graduated from Georgetown High School and later went to semi training school. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Dale was kind and never knew a stranger. He was known as a person who would "give the shirt off his back" to help someone. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A celebration of Dale's life will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E. West Street, Georgetown. Visitation will be held one hour prior to his service on Saturday at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery.
