Dale Ashby

Dale Wayne Ashby Sr., age 54, passed away on February 13, 2009 at 9:25 am at his home. He was born February 7, 1955 to Ruth and Cecil Ashby. They preceded him in death. He married Cindy Whisler on October 22, 1983. She survives. He is also survived by two children: Dale Jr. (Jacque) Ashby, Melisa (James) Jennings; one brother: Junior (Sherrie) Ashby; one sister: Judy Strawser; eight grandchildren: Maculey Ashby, Dale Ashby III, Austin Ashby, James Jennings Jr., Eric Ashby, Claudia Ashby, Cynthiana Jennings, and Ivy Ashby; and several nieces and nephews. Dale drove a semi for thirty years; he loved to drive over the road. He loved racing and spending time with his family. Cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time. There will be a celebration of Dales life at the Texan Longbranch on February 28, 2009 at 2 pm. Sunset Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
