Cynthia Swider

Cynthia Cindy Ann Swider, 46, of Danville, passed away at 1:46 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at Kindred Hospital in Sycamore, Illinois. Cindy was born on August 6, 1960, in East St. Louis, Illinois. She married Michael A. Swider on July 6, 1996 at Morey Chapel Church of Christ in Westville, Illinois. He survives. She is survived by her adoptive mother- Patricia Shepard of Catlin; two daughters- Patricia and Amber Shepard of Catlin; one brother John Bill; three sisters- Tammy, Kim and Lori; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and one son- Christopher Huff. Cindy graduated from Catlin High School in 1978. She previously worked at Helping Home and Sunbridge Healthcare as a CNA. She was a member of the Southside Nazarene Church in Tilton. Cindy loved to watch all kinds of sports on T.V. Her favorite tams were the Illini, Cubs and the Utah Jazz. She loved to be outdoors and go fishing. She enjoyed going through her bible studies. Cindy enjoyed spending her time playing hand held video games and playing Playstation 2. She also enjoyed playing cards. Cindy loved to watch her favorite NASCAR driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr, race. She was a huge Elvis Presley fan. Cindy loved to be around her great nieces and the rest of her family. Cindy loved everybody. She was involved in the Special Olympics for the last 10 years. A Celebration of the Life of Cynthia Cindy Ann Swider will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 29, 2006 at Sunset Memorial Park, with Pastor Curt Darling officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Special Olympics, or to the American Diabetes Association.
