Cynthia Cindy' Henschen, 59, of Georgetown, passed away at 2:24pm, Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Presence USMC, Danville. She was born on May 30, 1958, in Danville the daughter of Richard and Josephine {Grovier} Boyer. She was married to Philip Henschen on July 23, 1977. He survives. Other survivors include: her sons, Jason (Amanda) Henschen of Clarkhill, IN, Jeremy Henschen of Georgetown, & Eric Henschen of Georgetown; her brothers, Richard Bud' Boyer of Danville & Fred Boyer of Danville; her sisters, Linda Kyger of Tilton & Juliann Binkley of Danville; her grandchildren, Zackery Henschen, Jacob Henschen, Sydney Austin, Cain Henschen, Seth Henschen, Kayden Parks, & Chloe Dockins; and many extended family & friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her step brother, Ricky; and step sister, Donna. Cindy worked for many years as a waitress at the Oakwood Truck Stop. She later worked as a CNA at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living, Chrisman, and at the hospital. She attended First Church of Christ in Georgetown. She enjoyed cooking especially Thanksgiving dinner. Cindy was also known to love decorating for Christmas and other holidays. She also enjoyed gardening, collecting sea shells, and crocheting. Most of all, she loved being with her family, especially her grandkids, as well as friends. Cindy was a very giving person and always put others first in her life. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, August 4, 2017 at First Church of Christ, 503 N Main St, Georgetown, with Phil Miller officiating. As were her wishes, Cindy was cremated. Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown, assisted her family with arrangements. Memorial donations may be given in her name to American Cancer Society.
