Cynthia Ann Estock, 54, passed away on October 9, 2010 at her residence in Oakwood, Illinois with her loving family at her side. Cindy was born February 12, 1956 in Danville, Illinois daughter of George and Dorothy (Reed) Estock Jr. She married Terry Learned on July 18, 1972. He survives along with three children: son Micheal Learned of Oakwood; daughter: Julie Ann (Broc) Learned-Atwood of Danville and Kimberly Dawn Learned of Oakwood; mother: Dorothy Ellis; sisters: Karen Sue Bryant of Ogden and Mary Jo Stratton of Bloomington; three grandchildren: Nicholas Robert Learned, Katelyn Marie Learned, and Britynn Paige Atwood; nephew Adam Lee Bryant; and special friends Joyce, Marquite, Loretta, Delynn, Bill, Ryan, and several more. She was preceded in death by her father George Estock Jr. and step father Robert E. Ellis, Mother-in-law Mary Lavena Learned, brother-in-law Thomas L. Stratton, and dear friend Janice Phillips. After attending Potomac Schools Cindy graduated from Concepts of Cosmetology. She later owned and operated Cindys Cut and Curl in Rossville, Illinois. Cindys children and grandchildren were the light of her life. She dearly loved to spoil each of them. Cindy loved cooking, collecting dolls and angels, reading her bible, the Dallas Cowboys, the Illini, watching her favorite soap The Young and the Restless, going to rummage sales and sharing daily phone conversations with family and friends. A Celebration of Cindys Life will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, October 14, 2010 at Sunsets Oakwood Chapel, a Life Celebration Home 105 east south Main Street, Oakwood, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 4-8 Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Danville. Memorials may be made to the Provena Regional Cancer Center.
