Eugene, Ind. -- Curtis F. Skinner, 63, of Eugene, passed away at 10:43 a.m. EDT Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at his residence. He was born November 16, 1945 in Danville, Illinois the son of the late Norman and Mary Cole Skinner, Sr. He married Candace K. Cox on March 9, 1968 in Rossville, Illinois. She preceded him in death on December 7, 1996. Survivors include two sons, Cory(Michelle)Skinner and Chad(Jami)Skinner both of Perrysville, Indiana; five grandchildren, Skyler; Cacy; Cody; Lucas, Addisyn and one soon to be granddaughter; one brother, Norman(Dorothy)Skinner, Jr. of Perrysville, Indiana; several nieces and nephews. Curtis formerly worked at O'Neil Brothers in Danville, Illinois. He was a member of the Laborer's Local 624. Curtis was a 1963 graduate of Perrysville High School. He enjoyed cutting wood and going to auctions. Funeral services: 2 P.M. EDT Sunday, July 26, 2009 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Andy Spencer; Burial: Lower Mound Cemetery north of Perrysville, Indiana; Visitation: 4 to 8 P.M. EDT Saturday, July 25, 2009 at the funeral home.
