Craig Smoot

Richard Craig Smoot, 48, of Danville, IL passed away December 15, 2006 at Provena Covenant in Champaign. He was born August 1, 1958 in Danville son of Richard Ronald and Mary Jo Castleberry Smoot. He married Deborah Coon on August 16, 1980 at St. James Church in Danville. She survives along with son: Kyle Smoot of Oakwood, brothers: John Smoot of Tilton, Mike Stout of IN, David Keller of Danville, and John Szilogyi (Brenda) of CA; sister: Debbie Miller (David) of Danville, IL; two beloved rottweilers Buffy & Cheba. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, daughter April and several aunts and uncles. Craig attended Danville schools and worked at Berrys as a chemical applicator, Bodine Electric, and most recently Full-Fill as a maintenance mechanic. He was a member of the Hog Association and loved to ride his Harley, hunting, and fishing. A Celebration of Craigs life will be held at 2:00 pm December 19, 2006 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center; 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Monday evening at the funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Oak Hill cemetery in Danville.
