Courtney Ann Terrell,40, born June 20, 1985, in Danville, Illinois, passed away tragically on March 12, 2026, in Mulla More, Boyerstown, Ireland, as the result of a motor vehicle accident. She was a cherished wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend whose legacy of loyalty, dependability, honesty, and hard work touched the lives of all who knew her.
A proud graduate of Westville High School, Class of 2003, Courtney's life was marked by her dedication to family and community. Alongside her beloved husband, Mark Terrell, she owned and operated Terrell's Feed Store and Terrell Trucking, a family business to which she brought steadfast commitment and expertise. Courtney served as the bookkeeper for the family trucking enterprise and recently undertook the ownership of Terrell’s Feed Stop LLC, the feed mill located in Perrysville, Indiana, exemplifying her entrepreneurial spirit and devotion to sustaining the family legacy.
Courtney’s home was a place of warmth and love, filled with the lively presence of her beloved chickens and a menagerie of other farm animals that she cared for with great affection. She was a gifted cook and baker, passionate about nurturing her children, both young and adult, and treasured the large gatherings of family and friends for which she lovingly prepared abundant meals, creating memories that will endure in the hearts of many.
Her proudest accomplishment was her enduring marriage to the love of her life, Mark Terrell, whom she wed on June 12, 2004, at Grape Creek Baptist Church. Their 21 years together were a testament to their deep partnership and devotion.
Courtney is survived by her devoted husband Mark Terrell; her father, John Buhoveckey; mother-in-law, Nancy Quick; and her and Mark's children: Colton (Chloe) Mitchell, Rylie (Trey Russell) Terrell, Damon (Lilli) Terrell, Margo Terrell, and Theo Terrell. She was a loving granny to Dallas, Lexington, Tulsa, and Knox Mitchell. Courtney is also remembered by her siblings, Cassie (Eric) Rhodes and Sarah (Tony) Cheuvront; sisters-in-law, Michelle (Jake) Myers and Amy Bryant; as well as many nieces and nephews including Maddie (Tyler), Lainey, Jaidha, Braden (Rexy), Jaycee (Andrew), Gavin, Keeley, Princess Carsyn (Kendall), Caden (Savannah), Mikey (Dave), Douglas, Annily, Angel, Junior, and Cierra. Her great nieces and nephews Bentley, Griffin, Graham, Van, Kayzley, Evie, Sonny, Soreya, and Davie carry forward her loving memory.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlene Buhovecky; grandparents Nash and Buhovecky; and her father-in-law, Archie Quick.
A visitation will be held on Friday April 10, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Grape Creek Baptist Church, located at 13658 Grape Creek Rd, Danville, Illinois. The funeral service will follow on Saturday April 11, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Church. Burial to follow at McKendree Cemetery. Courtney Ann Terrell’s life was a shining example of commitment, love, and generosity. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and community. Her spirit and the many lives she touched stand as enduring testament to a life well-lived. May she rest in peace.
