Cory Wayne Taylor

April 19, 1985 — September 9, 2015

Cory Wayne Taylor

Cory was a son, brother, uncle and friend. He was also an addict. On September 9th, 2015 he lost his fight. Cory tried so hard, and each day was a battle for him. He had many hopes and dreams; he wanted to have a wife and children, wanted to go back to school, have a job he enjoyed and travel the world. Most of all, he wanted to get sober. Cory had a restless spirit, but he also had a huge heart. He was a hardworking, charismatic, natural born leader with a sparkling smile. He loved to eat, work out, watch movies, play soccer at the park with his nephews, and he was a talented Lego city builder. Cory was a sweet talking story teller who could never quite remember the punchline to the joke. He also gave an awesome shoulder massage. Our hearts are broken over the loss of Cory Wayne. He will forever be our little blonde-hair curly headed, hamburger dude in spandex and cowboy boots. Services are pending at this time with Sunset Funeral Home, 710 N. Neil Street in Champaign.
