Corporal Francis Trussel

Corporal Francis Trussel Jr., 21, of Lincoln, IL and formerly of Danville passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2007 serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Francis was born June 4, 1985 in Danville son of Frank and Joyce Winters Trussel. He married Jodi Swingle on March 4, 2005 in Lincoln. She survives along with their two children Jaden & Malikye Trussel; other survivors are his father and two brothers Jesse Trussel of Danville and Chris (Megan) Winters of KY. He was preceded in death by his mother and sister. Francis attended Danville schools and moved to Lincoln to attend Lincoln College. He later enlisted in the U.S. Army. After boot camp he was stationed at Fort Hood aquiring the rank of Corporal. Since October 2006 he was serving overseas as a tank operator in Operation Iraqi Freedom. A Celebration of Franciss Life will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL. Visitation will held from 4-8 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest with full military honors at Oak Hill Cemetery in Danville.
