Corey Wayne Mills, 29, of Danville, passed away at 4:36 a.m., Wednesday, February 21, 2007, at his residence. Corey was born on January 25, 1978 in Norfolk, Virginia, the son of Richard and Bonnie (Tyler) Mills. He married Cathy Irons on March 24, 2006 in Danville. She survives. Corey is survived by his parents; two sons- Zachery Mills and Corey S. Mills both of Danville; one step-daughter- Chyanne Irons of Danville; one brother- Jacob Mills of Charleston, Illinois; five sisters- Lisa Dillon of Danville; Patty Mills of Danville, Crystal Edwards of Danville, Christina(Jodie) Hamand of Perrysville, Indiana, and Mariah Mills of Danville; one maternal grandmother Hester Tyler of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his one brother- Matthew Mills; two grandfathers and one grandmother. Corey worked at Freight Car in Danville as a crane operator for the last two years. He was a member of the Marantha Baptist Church in Covington, Indiana. Corey loved working on cars. He enjoyed going mudding. Corey enjoyed racing and was a big Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan. He enjoyed playing with his kids. A Tribute to the Life of Corey Wayne Mills will be at 6:00 p.m. Sunday February 25, 2007 at Sunsets Community and Life Tribute Center (Formerly Lakeside- Barrick Funeral Home), with Rev. Phil officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 " 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Carle Hospice or to the American Cancer Society.
