Constance Sue Filson, 60, of Danville went to be with her Lord at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 in the sanctuary of the Danville United Church of Christ. Connie was born on December 27, 1947, in Danville, the daughter of Clarence and Amy Bridgman. She married Richard Cusick in 1965, he preceded her in death. She then married James C. Filson in 1996 and he was blessed with 10 years with his high-school sweetheart. Connie is survived by her husband, Jim; daughter Tania Miles and grandsons Brandon and Mathew of Indianapolis; son Richard Cusick of Indianapolis; step-daughter Katherine (Gary) Peiffer and granddaughter Emma and grandson Corey of Vienna, VA; step-son James (Marie) Filson and granddaughter Madison and grandson James III of Hume, VA; sister Wanda (John) Dettman of Decatur; brother Stephen (Fausta) Bridgman of Atlanta, GA; nieces and nephews; and so many friends she loved dearly. Connie was a 50 year surviving diabetic and Master Gardener who loved life, her family, her friends, her garden and flowers, but most of all her grandchildren. She was happiest doing for others. A Celebration of Connies Life will be at 1 PM, Friday, November 30, 2007 at the Danville United Church of Christ; Pastor Pamela Starr will conduct the service. Visitation will be at the Church beginning at 10 AM Friday morning. Burial will be at Danville National Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
