Connie Wright

Connie Wright, 60, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living in Chrisman, IL. She was born on December 19, 1961 in Danville, IL.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents, Nancy Sue Koss and Albert Richard Koss; her first husband, Jeffery D. Bartos; as well as biological father, Ambrosio Rodriguez; and her beloved cats, Tiger, Ray, Abbie, and Java Beans.

Survivors include her son, William (Catherine) Bartos; daughter, Jennifer (Matthew) Bartos; grandchildren, Addison Bartos and Jaxon Rodgers; aunt, Susan (Toni) Hix; second husband, Jerry D. Wright; and her beloved pets, Rocky Balboa and Tobias Reginald Hobbes.

Connie graduated from Danville HS in the class of 1980 and achieved an associates degree in general studies from D.A.C.C in the spring of 1982. Mrs. Wright worked for several area optical businesses as well as a secretary at Bismarck HS before moving to Chatham, IL to work in the Insurance industry with Progressive auto insurance. During her time in the insurance industry, Connie relocated several times around the western United States (Las Vegas, Oklahoma City and Phoenix) while climbing the corporate ladder. Returning later in life to the Danville area to be closer to family.

Connie enjoyed what some call the simple things. Traveling, sightseeing, gardening, tidying her home, and cooking but what she valued most was time with her family. Most importantly the years she was able to spend with her granddaughter, Addison.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the White Oak Barn in Kennekuk Park, with a pot-luck style cookout following the service. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 has been entrusted with arrangements and per Connies wishes she will be cremated.
