Connie Ilene Cafin

Connie Ilene Cafin, 88, of Urbana, passed away at 9:48 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, at Champaign County Nursing Home in Urbana. She was born Sept. 11, 1927, in Lodge, Ill., the daughter of Jesse Ernest and Meta (Miller) Cafin. Connie will be dearly missed by her siblings, Betty Zook, Faye (Bob) Duncan, and Melvin (Gladys) Cafin, all of Urbana; half sisters, Mary (Keith) Lieber and Billie (Terry) Rex, both of Idaho; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and other family and friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and a brother. Connie loved to color and paint. She also enjoyed cooking and canning. Connie would walk anywhere year-round, even if there was snow on the ground. Her family remembers her as being very talkative, and never meeting a stranger. Connie loved to attend family gatherings. She also loved the Lord and attended Episcopalian Church on Bradley. Connie will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
