Connie Harris

Connie Harris, 68, of Danville, passed away at 6:04 am Monday November 1, 2016. Connie was born in Danville, IL on August 16, 1948 the daughter of Lyle Victor and Florence (Dare) Eickelman. On November 24, 1967 Connie married the love of her life, Earnest Harris, and he preceded her in death on July 1, 2016. Surviving are one son, Eric (Dianne) Harris of Fairmount, IL; one daughter, Tamala (Tim) Hinote of Danville, IL; four grandchildren, Rachel (Justin) Davis of Urbana, IL, Kaitlyn (Jakub Puchalski) Harris of Des Plaines, IL, Alexis Harris of Fairmount, IL, Matthew Harris of Fairmount, IL; and two great-grandchildren, Delynn Harris and Zoe Harris of Fairmount, IL. Connie is preceded in death by her Husband Earnest, and her parents. Connie was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved playing cards with her grandkids and taking them out to eat at local restaurants. One of her favorites was Jocko's, so the grandkids could watch the trains go around the tracks. Connie also enjoyed working on word search puzzles in her free time. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Officiating will be Doug Knapp. Entombment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery in Danville. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
