Connie Chezem, 78, of Danville, IL went to be with Jesus on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 2:45 PM.
Connie was born on August 20, 1947, the daughter of Roy and Thelma (Lewis) Marrow in Danville, IL.
Connie was baptized at a young age, a member of First Assembly of God, Ridgeview Baptist Church and attended Muncie Baptist Church.
She married Leon Webber on June 2,1968 and they had two daughters. She later married James Chezem on November 23, 1985.
Connie will be sadly missed by her daughters, Kristy Webber Conner of Danville, IL and Karen (Darin) Troglia of Westville, IL, grandchildren, Matthew and Colin Conner of Danville, IL, Jonah and Olivia Troglia of Westville, IL, stepdaughters, Janet (Scott) Hollinger of Virginia, and Bonnie (Larry) Rosendale of Florida. She is also survived by one brother, Darold (Joyce) Marrow of Westville, IL, one sister, Carol (Bob) Pickett of Danville, IL, many nieces and nephews and several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Connie was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Marrow, her parents, former husband, Leon Webber, and her husband of 40 years, James Chezem.
Connie worked at Kmart in her younger years. She was a stay-at-home mom until 1978 when she started working at Danville Township Transportation. After 34 years of service, Connie retired in 2012.
Connie loved her Coca-Cola and playing cards with her family. She loved spending time with “her girls”, her grandchildren, and “her son”, Darin. Connie was a beautiful soul who loved tending to her garden and flowers, feeding the birds and squirrels and loved owls. Connie was also an avid Chicago Bears and Illini fan.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery on Indian Springs Road in Danville, IL. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025 from 2:00-4:00 PM at the funeral home.
