On November 14, 2022, Collene Becker, 89, of Ridge Farm, left this life to join her husband in Heaven as well as her siblings. She was born on February 10, 1933, in Monticello, Kentucky, to John Calvin and Mary Della (Parish) Bridgeman. She was united in marriage to Robert Becker on April 14, 1953, until his passing on February 7, 2012. They had four children. Collene will be missed by her children, Janie Ballard of Georgetown, Sherry (Carl) Carpenter of Danville, Robert (Nina) Becker of Ridge Farm, & Robin Cast of Pensacola, FL; her eleven grandchildren, Staci, Shana, Pamala, Brantley "BJ", Maggie, Mike, Abby, Kyle, Dustin, Dylan, & Drayton; as well as many great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother; eight sisters; and a son-in-law, Bill Ballard. Collene loved her family and making them blankets for Christmas. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards. She also loved to watch soap operas and was a big fan of the Chicago Cubs. Collene will be dearly remembered by all who knew and loved her. A Graveside service will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, November 18, 2022, at Georgetown Cemetery with Pastor Matt Filicsky officiating. Her arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, Illinois 200 E. West St. Georgetown, Illinois 61846.
