Clayton Stewart Joslin, 86, of Georgetown, passed away at 12:50 A.M., Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at the VA Illiana Health Care System. He was born October 7, 1921 in Miles, MI, the son of Roland L. and Minnie A. (Winters) Joslin. Clayton married Velda M. Walters on August 19, 1972 in Catlin, IL. She survives. Other survivors includes two children Michael S. Joslin of Danville and Janice Sue (Mark) Miller of Waco, TX, six step-children, Leonard R. (Barb) Winchester of St. Joseph, IL, Jim W. (Judy ) Winchester of Danville, Richard (Terri) Winchester and Gary (Fonda) Winchester of Greenville, IL, Diane (Tom) Collom of Catlin, IL and Martha (E.B.) Davis of Tipton, IN, Four brothers, Willard Joslin and Everette (Clara) Joslin both of D Ohio, Lowell Joslin of Arizona, and Linford Joslin of California, and Wilma Matthews of Miles, MI, and also fifteen grandchildren. Clayton was a graduate of Fairview High School, Fairview, MI. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during World War II, with duty in Guam, Bougainville, and Guadalcanal. He worked for Certified Metallurgical in heat treating in making aircraft parts. He enjoyed baseball, he was a little league coach and he followed the Tigers and Cubs. He was a Mason and member of Danville Anchor Lodge #980 and past member of the Gao Grotto. Clayton was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Georgetown. A celebration of life for Clayton Stewart Joslin will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at Sunset funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Gerald McPhillips officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 9:30AM -11:00AM on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Claytons name to the Bethel Baptist Church, Georgetown
