Claudette Flo Frye Moore, 66, of Danville, passed at 12:18 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2007 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. Claudette was born on May 27, 1940 in Potomac, Illinois, the daughter of Walter Clinton and Thelma (Greer) Frye. She married Herby Lee Ford in Tennessee. She later married Larry Moore on February 22, 1997 in Oakwood. He preceded her in death on November 20, 2004. She is survived by one brother- James Bill (Carolyn) Frye of Oakwood; two nephews- Tony (Kim) Frye and Jim (Judy) Frye both of Oakwood; one niece- Teri (Mike) Randall of Oakwood; two step-daughters- Vickie (Ray) Parrish of Fithian and Jennifer (Steve) Bainbridge of Fairmount; four step-grandchildren- Luke, Desiree, Erika, and Cody; mother-in-law- Dorothy Moore of Fithian; and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one husband, one niece- Lori Sellers, one nephew- Darren Ward, and father-in-law- Lawrence Moore. Claudette graduated from Oakwood High School in 1958. She worked as a hair dresser and later worked for Oakwood Unit #76 as a bus driver for several years. She attended Muncie Baptist Church. Claudette enjoyed coloring pictures and posters and giving them to family and friends. She was an avid Illini fan. She loved watching NASCAR and her favorite driver Jeff Gordon. Claudette love of her life was her dog Lady. She enjoyed having coffee with her friends at the Oakwood Truck Stop. She loved being around people and spending time with her nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren. Claudette was ex-MCO at the GAO Grotto. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Stearns Cemetery in Muncie. Friends and family are invited back to the Oakwood Fire Station following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sunset Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements.
