Claude Leon Brown

Cayuga, Ind. - Claude Leon Brown, 52, of Cayuga, passed away at 8:05 p.m. EDT Friday, August 22, 2014 at the home of his sister, Cathy Hudson. He was born May 4, 1962 in Danville, Illinois the son of Alfred Leon and Mary Virginia Graham Brown. Leon married Carol Sue Cummins on April 6, 1997 in Eugene, Indiana. She preceded him in death on June 20, 2011. Survivors include his daughters, Debbie(Jeremy)Oak of Kingman, Indiana and Kayla Brown of Vincennes, Indiana; step-daughters, Beth(Jim)Cope of State Line, Indiana and Amanda(Matt)Ross of Perrysville, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Damion; James; Lily; Aylah; McKenzie; Tristan; Bradley and Hayden; sisters, Cathy(Don)Hudson of Clinton, Indiana and Candy Brown-Moore of Cayuga, Indiana; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Leon was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Virginia Brown. Leon formerly worked at Fab Star in Cayuga before his illness. He was a 1980 graduate of North Vermillion High School. Leon enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time with his family, most of all with his eight grandchildren. There will be no services. Per Leon's request cremation has been accorded. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is assisting the family.
