Clarimae Marie Ingles

Arthur Clarimae Marie (Bastert) Ingles, 88, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 in Urbana, IL. She was born on May 2, 1931 in Quincy, IL to Frank and Clara (Peters) Bastert. Clarimae was one of ten children raised on a dairy farm in Camp Point, IL. She graduated from Camp Point High School. In 1948 she married James E. Ingles and they had two children, Jennifer Lynn and Thomas Gregory. She was a home maker, model, office assistant, accounting worker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She retired from Human Kinetics in 1999. She made many lifelong friends from around the world through her work connections at Human Kinetics and many other endeavors. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She most enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching the horse and buggies from the front porch, but most important were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved playing Wahoo with her great-grandchildren, and it is said that she may have cheated because she seldom lost. She enjoyed watching Jeopardy and her beloved Cubs. She was always up for an adventure, even traveling to the "Tail of the Dragon" in Tennessee with her son in a ride she noted "was the best roller coaster ride she ever had." She was preceded in death by her parents; husband James; siblings Clarence, Ray, Francis, Florence, Betty, Frank, Albert, John, and Elsie; and daughter Jennifer. She is survived by a son Thomas (Linda) of Arthur, IL; grandchildren Carissa (John) Thompson of Argyle, TX and Thaddaeus (Suzanne) Ingles of Shorewood, IL; great-grandchildren Jackson Thompson, Tate Thompson, Tybee Ingles, Wyatt Thompson, and Sebastian Ingles. The family and friends will celebrate her life at a date and time to be determined later. She will be buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Camp Point at that time.
