Clarence O. Martin, 70, of Westville, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 peacefully at his home. He was born on May 22, 1948 in LaPorte, IN the son of Floyd and Imogene (Barley) Martin. He married Carol Delattre on June 5, 1992 in Danville, IL and she preceded him in death in 2010. Clarence will be deeply missed by his children; Tony Martin of Danville, Carrie (Adam) Crook of Eldon, MO, Amanda (Bryce) Werhan of Republic, MO, siblings; Carolyn (Don) Smith of Florida, David (Karen) Martin of Danville, grandchildren; Tasha, Travis, Ty, Tia, Trenton, Amanda, Brandon, Jessica, Britt, many great grandchildren and his significant other, Sandy Sollars. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 3 siblings; Hellen Tomlinson, Ruth Rife and Charles Martin. Clarence worked at General Motors for 25 years as well as driving a school bus for Oakwood, IL and Marion County, Indiana. He loved to line dance, go bowling, and especially watch or coach any sports. He coached softball for many years at Westville. Clarence was a member of Georgetown Methodist Church and the Danville and Crawfordsville Moose lodges. He loved all his friends and family. A celebration of Clarence's life will be held at 11 AM on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Matt Filicsky officiating. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM prior to the service. He will be laid to rest at a later date in Sunset Memorial Park.
