Clarence C. Kizer of Veedersburg, IN passed away on August 20, 2008 in Williamsport, IN St. Vincent Hospital. He was born on July 6, 1916 in Henning, IL the son of Frank M. and Florence (Pritchard) Kizer, both deceased. He received his education in Vermillion County, IN. He married Betty L. Stultz on July 24, 1943 in Utica, New York. She preceded him in death in January 2000. He was inducted in the Armed Forces, WWII on March 9, 1942. He attended Armored School in Fort Knox, KY and served as a Tank Driver with the fifth Armored Division in five European Countries. Clarence was awarded five Bronze Battle Stars and was honorably discharged on October 8, 1945. He was a retired Union Carpenter. Clarence is survived by a special friend, Martha White, two brothers: Wayne (Betty) Kizer, Edward (Clara) Kizer; three sisters: Madge (Lloyde) Ross, Susie (Donald) Smoot, Virginia (Keith) Boen and several special nieces and nephews. Three sisters preceded him in death. Funeral services for Clarence Kizer will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park with military rites performed by the VFW Post of Danville. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, August 22, 2008 at the funeral home.
