Clarence "Ed" Richardson

Cayuga, Ind. - Clarence "Ed" Richardson, 57, of Cayuga, passed away at 10:30 a.m. EDT Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Rockville Nursing and Rehab Center in Rockville, Indiana. He was born January 29, 1955 in Clinton, Indiana, the son of the late George Junior and Patricia Kiphart Richardson. Survivors include his son, Troy(Shawna)Richardson of Ishpeming, Michigan. Ed was preceded in death by two brothers, Warren and Tom Richardson. Ed worked at Kuri Tech in Williamsport, Indiana the past 13 years, most recently as a Team Leader. He was a 19 1/2 year veteran of the United States Air Force serving in both the Vietnam and Persian Gulf Wars. While in the service, Ed worked as a jet engine mechanic and training systems specialist. He was a member of the Cayuga American Legion Post #263. Ed enjoyed fishing, four wheeling and riding his motorcycle. Ed felt that family was important and enjoyed spending time with them. A Celebration of Life service for Clarence "Ed" Richardson will be held at 10:30 a.m. EDT, Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the Victory Baptist Church, 133 South Washington Street, Clinton, Indiana 47842; Officiating: Pastor Larry Snyder; Visitation: 9 a.m. EDT until time of services Tuesday at the church. Military honors will be conducted by the Cayuga American Legion Post #263. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date. Following services a luncheon will be held at the church. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is assisting the family with arrangements.
