Eugene, Ind. - Clarence E. Williams, 63, of Eugene, passed away at 8:50 a.m. EST Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Union Hospital Clinton in Clinton, Indiana. He was born October 25, 1949 in Danville, Illinois, the son of the late Irene J. Smith Williams and Everett Williams. Clarence married Kathy Poor on June 19, 1976 in Cayuga, Indiana. She survives. Other survivors include one son, Kenny(Shelly)Jackson of Ft. Hood, Texas; one daughter, Charlene(Steven)Hubbard of Galveston, Texas; three grandchildren, Devin and Blayden Jackson and Miranda Hubbard; two sisters, Stella(Chuck)Willyard and Helen L. Williams both of Woodstock, Georgia. Clarence formerly worked for the Vermillion County Highway Department and was currently working at the Vermillion County Courthouse in the maintenance department. He served for twenty years as a Precinct Committeeman for the Democractic Party. Clarence enjoyed working on lawn mowers, fishing, animals, riding his golf cart and playing Santa Claus every year for the children in the area. Funeral services: 1 P.M. EDT Monday, March 11, 2013 at the Cayuga Christian Church in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Jack Holycross; Burial: Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Scottland, Illinois; Visitation: 2 to 6 P.M. EDT Sunday, March 10, 2013 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana and one hour prior to services on Monday at the church.
