Clara Curry

Clara R. Curry, 67, of Danville, died at 12:00 pm on Friday, August 4, 2006 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born October 24, 1938 in Danville the daughter of William M. and Ruth M. (Hutson) Barrett. She married Gerald W. Curry on August 19, 1967 in Danville. He survives. Clara is also survived by three sons: Tommy Curry of Danville, Jeff (Lynn) Young of Arlington Heights, IL, Terry (Darenda) Curry of Danville; one daughter: Tanya Curry of Danville; two brothers: Joe (Gloria) Barrett of Danville, Bill (Ann) Barrett of Tilton, IL; three sisters: Arlene Nichols of Tilton, IL, Reba (Bill) Draper of Danville, Belva (Bob) Rambole of Phoenix, AZ; a sister in law: Sandy Barrett of Westville, IL; twelve grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a special friend: Betty Myrick. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Nick, David, and Glen Barrett; and one sister: Lois Lucas. Clara graduated from Danville High School. She spent 24 years in the floral business working for Taylors Floral, formerly Wrights Floral, Eagles and for Jewel/Osco in the floral department. She liked reading, traveling, walking and flower gardening. She loved Las Vegas and was a big fan of Elvis. What she enjoyed most in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Clara was a faithful member of Laura Lee Fellowship.
