Clara Copsy

Clara Copsy, 89, of Ridge Farm, IL, passed away at 7:56pm, Friday, September 8, 2023, at Goldwater Care, Danville, IL. She was born on September 20, 1933, in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of Howard and Ruth {Mohr} Waxler. She was united in marriage to Donald Copsy on June 29, 1997, until his passing March 9, 2022. She is survived by her children, Chris (Crystal) Walker and David (Holly) Walker; ten grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and her siblings, May Hill, Gary Waxler, and Howard Buddy (Kathy) Waxler. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, George Walker; her daughter, Joyce Walker; her son, George Walker Jr; and five siblings, William, Ethel, Charles, Ted, and Wayne Waxler. Clara worked at K-Mart for many years. She loved to crochet and was an avid bowler. Her most enjoyable things to do were to travel to see different things with her family and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her. A celebration of Claras life will be held at 3:00pm, Friday, September 15, 2023, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, Illinois 200 E. West St. Georgetown, Illinois 61846 with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Friday prior to her service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery, Danville. Memorial donations may be given in her name to the donors choice of charity.
