Cindy Allison

Cindy L. Allison, 73 of Georgetown, IL passed away on January 22, 2025 at Carle Foundation Hospital.

She was born November 11, 1951 to Kenneth Roy & Audrey Witherspoon of Georgetown, IL. She was united in marriage with Gary “Chopper” Allison on May 28, 1976.

Cindy is survived by her daughters Audrey Renee(Rusty) Baker of Jacksonville, FL, Dawn(Justin) Alsup of Sarah, MS, Ulee Samantha(Sebastian) Wright of Georgetown, IL, grandsons Coty Micheal, Justin Dale, “Lil” Gary Lee, Sebastian Jr, great grandsons Maverick, Lane, Bennett, Miles, Emmett, sisters Audrey May Allison, Virginia Mayo, and a brother Don Witherspoon.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years Gary, great grand daughter Audrianna, her parents, and several brothers and sisters.

Cindy was employed by several places including GE, and The Greeks, along with running a beauty salon out of her home for over 16 years. She was known to many by “Mama Dog” for her founding role of The JunkYard Dogs Auto Club which she helped run for 25 years with her husband Gary. You could always find Cindy in the kitchen baking, especially with her grandsons. She was devoted to her family in every way, no obstacle would stand in her way and was well known for her quick wit and willingness to help anyone.

Cindy touched many lives and will be deeply missed by everyone. Her family requests that all who attend wear casual dress as that’s the way Cindy would want it.

A celebration of Cindy’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 27 at Sunset Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown, IL. After the service Cindy will be laid to rest next to Gary in Georgetown Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Monday before the service.
