Christy S. Seldomridge

Christy S. Seldomridge, 56, of Danville, passed away at 4:17pm, Monday, January 25, 2009, at Provena USMC, Danville. She was born on June 12, 1952, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Owen and Patricia (Kinney) Atwood, both deceased. She was united in marriage to Billy Seldomridge on August 12, 1977, at Morey Chapel of Westville. He will miss her dearly. Others who will miss her include: her children, Nicholas (Kimberly) Seldomridge of Veedersburg, IN, & Ned (fianc(c), Kandis Hoskins) Seldomridge of Westville; her grandchildren, Isabel & Alexandra Seldomridge; her father-in-law, Billy Joe Seldomridge of Winter Haven, FL; her brothers, Terry Atwood of Westville, John (Teri) Atwood of Danville, Rocky (Joyce) Atwood of Oakwood, IL, & Butch (Debra) Atwood of Winfield, MO; her uncle & aunt, Roland & Judy Atwood of Westville; her aunts, Gail, Becky, & Linda, all of Westville; as well as her special cousins, Roland Atwood Jr, & Kari (Tim) Hooks and their children, Jared & Kelcy. Her sister and mother-in-law preceded Christy in death. Christy was an x-ray and ultrasound technician who started her career at St. Elizabeths, then continued to Provena USMC and eventually she worked for Danville Polyclinic. She really enjoyed her profession and loved helping people by giving guidance to those who needed it, especially her family, friends, & co-workers. In her spare time, she also enjoyed reading, shopping and traveling. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. A celebration of Christys life will be held at 10:00am, Friday, January 30, 2009, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State St, Westville. Visitation for friends & family will be 3-7pm, Thursday, January 29, 2009, at the funeral chapel. As per her wishes, she will be cremated. Memorial donations may be given in Christys name to American Cancer Society, 2509 S Neil St, Ste #1, Champaign, IL 61820.
