Christine L. Roberts

Danville - Christine L. Roberts, 70, of Danville, IL passed away at 7:01 AM, on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Hawthorne Inn of Danville. She was born on August 18, 1955, in Danville, IL the daughter of Gilbert and Charlotte (Boyd) Montgerard. She married Kervin Roberts on October 12, 1974, in Danville.

Survivors include her husband, Kervin Roberts of Danville, IL, two sons, Scott (Kristin) Roberts of Charleston, IL and Chad Roberts of Danville, IL, seven grandchildren, Cailin, Hayleigh, Ryellie, Alexis, Hadyn, Macyn and Adyson, two great grandchildren, Parker and Avery, as well as four siblings, Larry Montgerard of Urbana, IL, Buddy (Carolyn) Montgerard of GA, Tanya (Gene) Ross of FL and Lori (Joe) Mollet of Crown Point, IN and her best friend, Julie Powell of Danville, IL.

Christine is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sharon Hicks.

Christine was an avid sports fan and cheered on the Chicago Cubs and her grandchildren’s sporting events. She would attend Cubs games whenever she had the chance and would watch on television when she couldn’t be there in person. She also enjoyed spending her free time fishing, spending time at family gatherings, and being “The Sergeant”. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 5 pm on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Joe Mollet will officiate. Cremation Rites will be accorded following services and burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville at a later date. Visitation will be held from 3-5 PM prior to the service on Tuesday, also at Sunset in Danville.

Memorials may be made in Christine’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
