Christine Marie Welsch-Mulholland

Christine Marie Welsch-Mulholland, 69, passed away on September 10th, 2018 in Elk Grove Village, IL. She was born in Danville, IL to William and Mary Welsch. She leaves behind one sister, Rita (Don) Gayler, and five brothers, Bill (Emily) Welsch, Sam (Bonnie) Welsch, Jim (Susan) Welsch, Greg Welsch, and Brian (Tillie) Welsch. In June of 1968, Christie married Frank Mulholland (Karen) in San Juan, Puerto Rico. They divorced in 2002. Together they raised 5 children, Melissa (Towner) Clark, Frank (Molly) Mulholland, Royce Mulholland, Mary (John) Mason, and Natalie Mulholland. Christie was most happy when she was spending time with her family. She was able to help raise each of her ten grandchildren and was thrilled to do so. Christie loved spending time in the garden. She enjoyed sewing and would often make clothes for her children and grandchildren. Being a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs, she rarely missed the chance to watch their games. Christie was considered wise and patient by the many people who had the pleasure of knowing her. Although she will be deeply missed, Christie leaves behind a legacy. She set an example of kindness and peace that will be carried on by the family who cherished her. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 5-8 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. A celebration of life will be held at 10 AM Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the funeral home.
