Christine M. White

Danville- Christine White, 65, of Danville went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 10:49 AM at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center. Chris "Shorty" was born October 17, 1945 in Danville, IL, the daughter of Alma Jane Lovett and the late John Lovett. She is survived by her daughter Lisa (Ricky) Miller and her son Daniel Spencer; her grandchildren Lacie (Matt) Martin, Marco VanCamp, Gina Spencer, Julianna Spencer, and Wayne "Tater" Foehrer; great-granddaughter, Lettie Martin; two adopted sons, Scott Tahon and Monty Campbell; her aunt Neoma Wright; and special friend Sara Lomax. She was preceded in death by her daughter Julie Newbrough, son Michael VanCamp, and her brother, Steve Lovett. Chris enjoyed family, friends, game night, BINGO, and helping others. She managed Peck's Live Bait for several years and then became an LPN at the V.A. Illiana until she retired in 2009. She was the cornerstone of her family. Those who know her have never met a kinder or more giving individual. She will be missed by many. A celebration of life for Christine White will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will follow at Oakhill Cemetery in Danville. Memorials may be made to Abundant Life Church in Danville.
