Christine E. Fourez

Christine E. Fourez, 75, of Danville, passed away at her home with her family by her side on June 16, 2026 at 8:48 PM.

Christine was born on October 1, 1950 in Roanoke, VA the daughter of Robert A and Georgia F (McBride) Edgar. She married Jerry Fourez on June 6, 1981 and recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Fourez of Danville, IL their children, Allyson (Thomas) Wright of Westville, IL, Clay (Angelica) Fourez of Danville, IL and Carrie (Mark) Thompson of St Joseph, IL, three grandchildren, Noah Wright of Westville, IL, Elijah (Sara) Wright of Westville, IL and Chelsea (Andrew Nelson) Fourez of Danville, IL, one great grandson, Jay Michael and one sister, Diane Fruth of Indiana as well as her lifelong friend, Mary Lou Stone of Danville, IL.

Christine is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Scott Edgar.

Christine was a member of Central Christian Church in Danville and was retired from Kmart where she worked as a Softlines Manager. She was very active in her church home, with Disciple Women and Stretch and Tone. She enjoyed playing golf with her husband, working on a variety of crafting projects, tending to her flowers, and antiquing with her husband and girlfriends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Central Christian Church, Danville, Illinois, 1101 North Vermilion Street, Danville, Illinois 61832. The Reverend Keela Neumann will officiate. Committal Rites will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at the Committal Shelter in Danville National Cemetery in Danville, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 AM at the church.

Memorials may be made in Christine’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
