Chris Allen Neubert, 47, born May 3rd, 1960, passed away April 15th 2008 at his residence in Georgetown, IL. He shared his home with his wife, Tonya Pearson, son Preston Allen, and daughter Kaloni Rae. Chris was a farmer and was raised with his sister Glenna Turner of Arundel, Maine, on the family farm east of Georgetown. His parents are Hoyle Dixie Neubert and Monica Stella Neubert. As a young boy, Chris spent hours playing with his hand held John Deere tractors, in the dirt and sand pile. In 1978 Chris graduated from Georgetown High School and was an FFA member and on the Parliamentary team. He was diagnosed with Huntingtons disease in 1995. Until that time, he farmed with his father and purchased a farm near one of his favorite spots, next to Forrest Glen. Chris was known to work ground until the wee hours and even proposed to his wife Tonya of nearly 27 years on the tractor. In growing up, Chris enjoyed all the sports that boys wanted to do. Fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling with his father. All the daring sports with his brother-in-laws the Pearson Brothers. Chris was able to share various vacations with several family members. In most recent years, when he needed a wheelchair, he was able to enjoy trips to Las Vegas and Hawaii. Chris never complained of his illness and many have said he was an inspiration to them. Survivors besides his immediate family are Jean Ann Pearson, and sons Billy Ray, Dana, Scott and their families; several cousins, aunts and uncles. Two special caregivers Jerry Cooper and John Pike, gave him many things to smile about; Members of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses of Georgetown provided Chris and family with strength and love. Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, uncles and father-in-law, the late Bill Pearson. There will be no visitation or services. Sunsets Houghton Leasure Funeral Home will be in charge cremation. Memorials may be made to the Georgetown FFA, Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses of Georgetown, or donors personal choice.
