Chris A. Chambliss

Chris Alan Chambliss, 63, passed away at his home in Westville on August 8, 2024. He was born in Tuscola, Illinois to the late Alto and Anna Chambliss on October 14, 1960. He attended Catlin High School and married the love of his life, Terrie Starwalt, on April 9, 1983.

Chris was a welder and though he held several jobs throughout his lifetime, he most notably worked at Danville Metal Stamping for 21 years. He enjoyed being outside, especially if that entailed hunting, fishing, and playing with the rugrats. He also liked riding his motorcycle at every opportunity. Chris was an all-around fantastic guy and will be so very missed by all that knew him.

Chris will be lovingly remembered by his wife Terrie Chambliss; their children Bethany (Josh) Goulding and Craig (Mindy) Chambliss; his grandchildren Jessica (Alex) Ritchie, Joshua Goulding Jr., Jennifer Goulding, Caiden Chambliss, & Mackenlee Chambliss; and his great-grandson, Kannen Goulding. He will also be missed by his siblings Sharon (Tom) Moore, Carl Chambliss, Neal (Mona) Chambliss; and sisters-in-law Linda Chambliss, Carolyn (Wayne) Campbell, and Patricia "Trish" Chambliss; adopted kids Joe McDonald, Bradley "Fuzzy" Englert & Dustin Pitlik; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by his brother Udel "Ben" Chambliss and sister-in-law Becky Chambliss.
