Cheryl Middleton Rheynard

Cheryl Middleton Rheynard, 65, of Westville, IL passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022 at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL.

Cheryl was born on October 20, 1957 the daughter of William and Virginia Reel Middleton in Washington, DC. She married Charles (Chuck) Rheynard on July 11, 2004 and he preceded her in death on August 31, 2021.

Cheryl is survived by her seven children: Thomas, Sam, William, Adrianna, Tristen, Jillian, and Devin, as well as eleven grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and her brothers David (Elaine) Middleton & Gregg (Regina) Middleton.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles "Chuck" Rheynard, and two precious grandchildren.

Born in DC before moving to Illinois as a child, Cheryl spent her life calling central Illinois home. Cheryl retired from the Veterans Administration with 31 years of service at the Danville VA Medical Center. Outside of her career Cheryl was a dedicated mother and long-term foster parent to numerous children and was a long-time faithful member at Second Church of Christ in Danville.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 16, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N Vermilion Street Danville, Illinois 61832. Greg Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 PM on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at the funeral home.
