Cheryl 'Cheri' Makemson

Cheryl Cheri' Makemson, 36, of Danville, passed away at 6:30pm, Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Presence USMC, Danville. She was born on June 12, 1979, in Danville the daughter of Bruce and Michelle Griffith. She was united in marriage to William Ben' Makemson on May 11, 2002, in Westville. He will miss her dearly. She is also survived by: her father, Bruce Griffith; her son, Gauge Makemson of Oakwood; her daughter, Katelynn Makemson of Danville; her brother, Robert (Janet) Griffith of Ridge Farm; her sister, Megan (Tim) Cummings of Florida; her nieces & nephews, R.C. Griffith, Derek Griffith, Pheobe Griffith, Jonathan Campbell, Josh Campbell, Ava Cummings, Rylee Cummings, Tyler Garrison, Noah Wahl, & Beka Wahl; and her sister-in-law, Stephanie Garrison. She was preceded in death by her mother, Michelle; grandparents, Michael & Francis Bukowski; and her aunt, Ruth Bukowski. Cheri had attended St. Mary's Church in Westville. She enjoyed riding motorcycles and four-wheelers. She especially loved being with her children, family, and friends. She enjoyed going on Facebook and connecting with people. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of Cheri's life will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, June 29, 2015, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, Westville, with Pastor James Blue. Visitation will be held 11am-2pm prior to her service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery, Danville. Memorial donations may be given in her name to American Diabetes Foundation.
