Cherri Lee Klinkow

CHERRI LEE KLINKOW Cherri Lee Klinkow, 51, of Danville, passed away at 12:03 a.m. Thursday, October 28th, 2010 at her home with her family by her side. Cherri was born on December 21st, 1958 in Paris, Illinois, the daughter of Robert L and Charlotte (Pennington) Glidewell. She married Richard Klinkow in 1977 in Danville. He survives. She is also survived by her parents Robert and Charlotte Glidewell of Georgetown; daughter- Candy Klinkow of Danville; two brothers- Robert G. Glidewell of Rantoul and Bradley Glidewell of Covington, Indiana; five nieces- Lois Glidewell of Champaign, Megan Glidewell of Danville, Brooke Glidewell of Danville, Grace Glidewell of Covington and Makiah Glidewell of Covington; nephew- Robert Michael Glidewell of Danville; uncle- Don Pennington of Paris; special friends- Janet Negangard of Catlin, Karen Keller of Chrisman and Teri Davis of Danville; and several other very close friends. Cherri attended Georgetown High School. Cherri devoted her life to her daughter, who was born handicap and she never left her side for 33 years. She enjoyed working on family genealogy, gardening, shopping, traveling, sewing, baking and collecting elephants. Cherri was known for her cake decorating, where she won several contests with her cakes. She also enjoyed driving her Jaguar and chasing the geese out of her yard with her friend Janet. A Celebration of the life of Cherri Lee Klinkow will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 1st, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Burial will follow the service in Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Provena Cancer Center.
