Cheri A. Huff

With profound sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Cheri Huff, devoted wife and our loving Mom, Grandma & Great-Grandma. Cheri, 73, passed away at Carle Foundation Hospital and joined her Heavenly Father on May 11, 2021.

Cheri was born on December 31, 1947, the daughter of Dale & Mary (Tate) Foreman in St Louis, MO. She married Raymond Austin Huff on June 25, 1971 and he survives. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this June.

Cheri had a vivacious personality, was full of life, always smiling and ornery as one could ever be. She never knew a stranger and made friends everywhere she went, especially loving the owners & servers at Gilbert Street Cafe and the crew at Charlottes & Mad Goat Coffee. Cheri looked forward to spending time with her girls group on Wednesdays, going out to eat then shopping at the Goodwill.

Most of all, she loved her family and instilled her strong beliefs and values that have served them well. Surviving is the love of her life, Raymond Austin Huff of Danville, IL, her children, Misty Huff-Walker, Richard (Sam) Huff and Melisse (Matt) Huff, all of Danville, her eight grandchildren Ryan Ferrero, David (Abigail) Huff, Natalie (Carl) Ferrero, Jon (Sarah) Huff, Mikaela Huff, Sara (Zeth) Sapp, Jessica (Levi) Huff, Bobby Pickerson, and her eleven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her best friends who were like sisters, partners in crime, Susan Schwartzkopf, Laurie Haluska & Gayle Keys. Lastly, but definitely not least, her fur baby that shadowed Cheri everywhere she went, Lola.

She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

A Celebration of the awesome life of Cheri will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 15th at Life Church, 2105 N Bowman, Danville, IL 61834. Officiating will be Pastor Doug Knapp. Visitation will be just prior from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 has been entrusted with arrangements.
