Charlotte Rexann Cummins

Charlotte Rexann (Current) Cummins, 88, of Covington, IN, passed away at 2:30am, Saturday, September 30, 2023, at her daughters home in Covington. She was born on April 12, 1935, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Earl Russell Current and Winifred (Poage) Current, both deceased. She was united in marriage to Ronald Cummins for 67 years. He will miss her dearly. She will also be missed by: her daughter, Rhonda Hardy (Chris Salts) of Covington; her daughter-in-law, Betty Beaver Cummins of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Miranda (William) Peck, Miryah Cummins (Zane Grott), and Michaela Cummins (Wyatt Speer); her great granddaughter, Elana Peck; her siblings, Darwin Current, Zandra Block, and Darlene (Larry) Megenhardt; and her several nieces and nephews and extended family. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ron "Gene" Cummins, and daughter, Brenda Sue Cummins. Charlotte was a graduate of the Class of 1953 from Perrysville High School. She worked for the Superintendents office for many years. She loved to crochet and read. She also enjoyed canning. Above all, she loved her family and cherished her grandchildren. A celebration of Charlottes life will be held at 2:00pm (EST), Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Covington, Indiana 420 3rd St. Covington, Indiana 47932 with her brother-in-law, Larry Megenhardt, officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 2:00pm (EST) on Saturday prior to her service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington.
