Charlotte Mckenzie

Charlotte McKenzie, 81, of Danville IL., passed away at 7:02 am on Sunday April 7, 2013 at North Logan Health Care Center in Danville IL. She was born on July 24, 1931, to William E. and Ruth (Bruner) Courtney in Potomac IL. She married David W. McKenzie on October 18, 1957 on the family farm south of Henning, IL. She is survived by her husband, who remained devotedly by her side everyday. Charlotte has family and friends in Danville, Bismarck, and Henning, IL; Colonial Beach, VA; Moundsville, WV; Frostburg and Cumberland, MD; Williamsport and Brazil, IN; and Hawaii. Charlotte enjoyed spending time with her family and God children. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling, and being a member of the Tops 485 in Danville. She will be greatly missed by her husband, family, and friends She will be laid to rest in the National Cemetery in Danville with graveside rights A graveside celebration of Charlotte's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday April 9, 2013 at the Danville National Cemetery with Pastor Dan Hunt officiating. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville is handling arrangements.
