Charlotte Mcconaha

Thomasboro - Charlotte K. McConaha, 71, of Thomasboro passed away at 6:59 AM on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was born on August 26, 1945 in Champaign, IL to Kenneth E. and Frances E. (Lawhorn) Lincoln. She married Edward Lynn McConaha. He preceded her in death. She is survived by two children, Deana McConaha of Urbana and Bobby McConaha of Thomasboro; a brother, George Edward Lincoln; and four grandchildren, Peyton McConaha, Gabriel McConaha, Kayla Lard, and Spencer Lard. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and three children, Brenda Sue McConaha, Edward Lynn McConaha, Jr., and Robin Renee McConaha. Charlotte worked as a cook at the Thomasboro Grade School until her retirement. She would also clean houses on the side because she liked doing it. Charlotte loved her dog Zina, but also enjoyed playing cards with her best friend, and spending time in the country at Earl's. She will be remembered for her willingness to always put others before herself. Charlotte's family will be having private family services. A Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Sunset's Champaign-Urbana Chapel at 710 N. Neil St. in Champaign. Memorials in her name may be made to the Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
