Danville- Charlotte Mae Howard, 79, of Tilton passed away at 5:23 PM on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at North Logan Health Care in Danville. She was born on May 12, 1933 in Lafayette, IN to Roy O. and Ida Mae VanPelt Walker Clark. She married Gilbert F. Howard on December 28, 1950. He preceded her in death on October 23, 1994. Surviving are three children, Jenny Halls of Danville, Janice (Samuel) Lynn Wynn of Danville, and Gilbert (Patricia) Howard of Tilton; two brothers, Ridge Clark of Florida and Duggen (Vicki) Walker of Marshfield, IN; two sisters Garnet (Dick) Fox of Marshfield, IN and Norma (Jim) Adams of Florida; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Tammi Jo Guy, and her brother Ed Clark. Charlotte was a member at Northside Church of Christ in Bismarck and enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She was also a gifted artist and enjoyed creating oil paintings. Most of all, Charlotte loved spending time with her family. A service to celebrate the life of Charlotte Mae Howard will be held at 1 PM on Friday, July 27, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor Jimmy Hodges will officiate. Burial will follow at Danville National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12-1 PM prior to the service on Friday, also at Sunset in Danville.
