Charlotte M. Mcvey

Oakwood - Charlotte M McVey, 79 of Oakwood, IL passed away at 10:40 PM at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis on October 27, 2019.

Charlotte was born on June 7, 1940 in Danville, IL the daughter of Joseph and Thelma (Laflen) Fourez. She married Lowell Dean McVey in 1957 in Oakwood and they enjoyed 62 years of marriage.

Charlotte is survived by her husband; Dean of Oakwood, IL one son; Brad McVey of Oakwood, IL one brother; Larry (Alfreda) Fourez of Oregon and one sister; Janet Clem of Oakwood, IL as well as many special friends.

Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents and one son; Allan McVey.

Charlotte was a wonderful mother to her two sons and enjoyed spending her time taking care of her family, cooking, collecting cookbooks, sewing, fishing and gardening.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834, with Miles Clark officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday November 1, 2019 from 4:00 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
