Charlotte A. Frank

Charlotte A. Frank, 94, of Danville, Il passed away peacefully at her home on December 31, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones.

Charlotte was born on September 12, 1931, the daughter of Ralph E and Agnes V. (Caron) Smith, Indianapolis. She married Edgar C Frank Jr, on June 14, 1953, and celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary in June. After they were married they moved to Florida where Edgar was stationed and thus began her love of the ocean.

Charlotte was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include her husband Edgar C Frank Jr. of Danville, Il, three children, Brent ( Mary Ann) Frank, of Punta Gorda, Fl, Darcy ( Tom) Lorenzen of Wheaton, Il, and Bradley ( Cindy) Frank of Powell, OH, six grandchildren: Kirsten ( Kevin) Irwin, Brian ( Laurel) Frank, Sabrina (David) Wilson, Carter Lorenzen, Brandon Frank and Blake Frank, as well as two great grandchildren, Bodie Wilson and Connor Frank.

Charlotte's greatest joy was her family. She cherished time spent with her six grandchildren and two great grandchildren who were truly the joy of her life. Nothing brought her more happiness than being with her family. Charlotte loved to travel with her family particularly to Long Boat Key Florida and Hawaii where she could combine the love of her family with the love of the ocean. She was a member of St James United Methodist Church in Danville for 52 years and was very active in a variety of church groups. Charlotte taught Home Economics and Science at Danville High School for many years sharing her knowledge to help students learn important life skills such as cooking, and sewing.

The family is honoring Charlotte's wishes by holding a family only service. Memorial donations may be made to St James United Methodist Church in Charlotte's memory.
