Charline L. Burd, 81, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 12:00 Noon at North Logan Health Care in Danville. She was born on May 5, 1928 in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Leo (Van) Leamon and Helen Reffett. She married Ervin L. Burd on December 4, 1959, in Danville. He survives. Also surviving are: one brother Darrell (Zelda) Leamon of Sonora, CA, one step- sister, Elva Belle (Jack) Garber of North Augusta, South Carolina; 1 niece, 2 nephews and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, one step-brother and one half brother. Charline was a graduate of Bismarck High School. She was a homemaker. In previous years she had worked at R & S Printing as a proofreader. She was a member of the I & I Saddle Club and also Western Riders. She loved horses and was also a member of the Illinois Stock Horse Association. She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church in Danville. A celebration of Charlines life will be held on Friday, September 4, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home, 3940 N. Vermilion Street, Danville, with Pastor Ray Plummer officiating. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at the funeral home.
