Charles A. Wright, 74, of Danville passed away on September 13, 2009 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Charles was born March 2, 1935 in Marshall, IL son of Glenn and Edith (Stricker) Wright. He married Ann Bartley on December 31, 1955 in Marshall, IL. She survives along with children: Teresa (Jimmy) Wright-Hatchett and Pamela Wright-Rassmussen; three sisters: Doris, Mildred, and Virginia; two brothers: Dale and Donald; four grandchildren: Lyndzee Wright and Travis, Kristen, and Sarah Rassmussen; many nieces & nephews, and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son James Allen, two sisters, and a brother. Charles was a graduate of Marshall High School and had worked in the trucking industry for 43 years. Starting at Hires Trucking for 16 years and most recently retiring from Holland Trucking after 12 years in 2001. Charles was a 30+ year member of the Second Church of Christ in Danville and a Member of the Masonic Anchor Lodge #980 for 47 years as well as a member of the Shriners. A Celebration of Charless Life will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL with Pastor Drew Mentzer officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home with Masonic Rites being performed by Anchor Lodge #980 at 7:30 pm. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Memorials may be made in Charless name to the BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Bloomington, Illinois.
