Charles Schackmann Jr.

Charles Andy Schackmann Jr., age 59, of Danville passed away on Monday, June 4, 2007 at 6:35 AM at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home in Danville. He was born January 29, 1948 in Danville the son of Charles and Esther (Pichon) Schackmann. He married Sandra Pasquale. She survives. Also surviving are two sons: Scott and Todd Schackmann both of Danville; two brothers: Robert Bobby (Julie) and Dennis (Ronna) Schackmann both of Danville; four sisters: Cheryl (Byron) Berger of Covington, IN, Rosie (Ron) Blystra of Tucson, AZ, Debbie (Rick) Allison of Forsyth, IL., and Eileen (Randy Smith) Schackmann of Tucson, AZ; and his dog and best friend Coco Cutie Pie. He was preceded in death by his parents. Andy was a mechanic. He worked at General Motors. He also worked construction and drove a wrecker. He drove a truck for Adrian Carrier until his illness would no longer allow him to work. He was an avid Cubs fan and also loved coaching baseball. He enjoyed playing cards, doing yard work, painting pictures and working on puzzles. Andy loved telling jokes and enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and especially his dog Coco Cutie Pie.
