Charles Paul Harry

Danville Charles Paul Harry, 63, of Danville passed this life at the Illiana Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Danville on July 8, 2019 at 9:40 AM.

Charles was born on August 4, 1955 the son of Robert Paul and Bonnie (Ashby) Harry in Danville, IL. He married Nancy Fields on June 24, 1990 in Danville, IL and she survives.

Survivors include his mother, Bonnie Harry of Danville, IL, his wife, Nancy Harry of Danville, IL, two sons, Robert (Megan) Harry of Sidell, IL and Michael (Rebecca) Garfield of Kiln, MS, one daughter Marissa Yocius of Danville, IL as well as seven grandchildren, Drew, Brenden, Madison, Joselyn, Christian, Cole and Chase.

Charles is preceded in death by his father, Robert Paul Harry.

Charles was a member of St. Pauls Catholic Church and graduated from Schlarman High School in 1973. He served his country for six years in the United States Air Force. Charles was a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans, Past Commander and served in other various roles with the local DAV organization. He was also a member of the American Legion and the VFW.

Charles was the proprietor of Compupair in Danville. He started the business from scratch in 1984 and served the Danville community for over 30 years with dedicated electronics and computer repair services. One of Charles favorite quotes was "Do what you love and you will never "work" a day in your life".

A Private Graveside Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Danville National Cemetery, 1900 E Main Street, Danville, IL with Lael Dixon officiating. Burial will be in Danville National Cemetery with Military Rites accorded by American Legion Post 210 Honor Guard. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2019, from 5:00 7:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834.

Memorials may be made to the Veterans Organization of the Donors choice.
