Charles R. Nale, 71, of Westville passed away at 12:35 a.m. Tuesday September 15, 2009 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. He was born on May 4, 1938 in Danville, IL the son of Sam and Alma Robinson Nale. He married Carolyn Ann Kincade on February 19, 1966 in Covington, IN. She survives. Other survivors include: his two sons, Charles Nale of Dayton, OH, and Tony Nale of Georgetown; his daughter, Robyn (Rene) Deyo of Hegeler; his four grandchildren, Dakota, Zachary, Brandy, and Nicole; his great grandchildren, Conner and Lili; his brothers, Sam Jr. (Patricia) Nale of Montana, Phil (Goldie) Nale of Georgetown, and Steve (Linda) Nale of Georgetown; his sisters, Violet Felgenhauer of Covington, Alice (Jim Cornett) Bodart of Georgetown, Sharon Hicks of Georgetown, Mid (John) Craig of Chrisman, and Grace Gagnon of Westville; his special friends, Dana Crutchfield, Robin Smith, and Tina Duprey. He was preceded in death by: his parents, two brothers, and two sisters. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Charles retired from the Labor Local 624 and later owned his own concrete business. He enjoyed playing cards, mushroom hunting, and bingo. He also enjoyed going to the boat. Charles loved getting together with family at reunions and get togethers. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Saturday September 19, 2009 at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home.
